Ruvio & Co. (ABN 94 679 280 801) ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you visit ruvio.com.au, shop with us, or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email, phone, delivery and billing address, and the products you order.
  • Payment details: processed securely by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal or Afterpay). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login and order history.
  • Communications: emails and messages you send us, and product reviews you submit.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser, pages viewed and how you reached our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
  • To respond to your questions.
  • To send marketing emails, but only if you opt in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
  • To run, secure and improve our website, prevent fraud and measure our advertising.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and consumer law record-keeping.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed with: Shopify (our e-commerce platform); payment providers; our fulfilment partners (such as CJdropshipping) and couriers (such as Australia Post) to pack and deliver your order; email and review services we use (such as Shopify Email and Judge.me); and analytics and advertising partners (such as Google, Meta and TikTok) through cookies and pixels. We never sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of these service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada, China and countries in the European Union. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in a way consistent with the APPs.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand how our site is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and our cookie banner; blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order records for as long as required by law (generally 5 years for tax purposes) and delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from marketing at any time, by emailing shop@ruvio.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we'll try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
